Monthly Update: Progress on Property Development, Business, and Personal Growth
Property Development Updates: Weka and Rutherglen
Construction for Weka remains on track to commence next month (April), and the plans and renders are looking absolutely amazing. Regarding Rutherglen, I'm particularly excited about selecting the furnishings for the existing property. While it's somewhat daunting as I aim to achieve a beautiful design aesthetic, I'm confident in my vision despite working within budget constraints. It will certainly be interesting to see the final result.
Financial Progress and Mindset Development
Now that we're six months into the challenge, I find myself somewhat behind track - perhaps significantly so - but this was anticipated. The journey has been incredibly educational, and I'm gradually adjusting my mindset whilst working through my limiting beliefs about money.
Managing Time and Energy Resources
I've become increasingly mindful of these two vital resources lately. My focus has been on optimising their management for maximum productivity. Energy, in particular, follows a noticeable pattern - I typically start the day at peak energy, which gradually diminishes throughout the day.
Business Development and Coaching
Regarding side hustles, the challenge lies in the abundance of opportunities - saying 'no' has become the real test. I'm soon to begin business coaching with Marcus Shaw, a respected previous colleague. This investment in coaching focuses on both accountability and structure, which I believe will yield positive returns.
Health and Wellness Journey
My fitness regime is well-established at present. Since completing 75Hard, I've been more relaxed regarding treats and indulgences, which feels appropriate. However, I'm planning to implement some dietary restrictions next month through 30Flex.
Community and Content Creation
The 30Flex programme is progressing well with approximately 20 members. We've received several fines/donations, and member engagement appears positive. I'm currently evaluating whether to increase investment in this initiative or maintain its current momentum.
Networking has been particularly fruitful lately, leading to some strategic shifts in my professional associations. On the podcast front, I'm excited to begin recording in-person episodes with my new dual microphone setup, allowing me to capture meaningful conversations with interesting individuals.
Looking Ahead
April promises to be significant with Rutherglen launching on Airbnb and Weka commencing construction. Emily and I have planned a trip to experience a property comparable to Weka. I'm also implementing more structured approaches to health, fitness, and meal planning to conserve mental energy.
My virtual assistant, Mary, continues to excel, and we're focusing on workflow refinement and efficiency improvements. Additionally, ALT might be making a revival, albeit in a different format, partly driven by demand and the ongoing design work for Weka and the David Melse brand.
