2024 Jan & Feb Update

Starting 2024 strong with growing coaching clients and streamlined podcasting workflow. Found my Ikigai at 40, building a community of like-minded individuals through events like the 100th sauna podcast episode. Working from The Loft, moving to a larger home, and maintaining clear fitness goals. Financial modeling shows promising next 18 months while Spanish learning and pilot's license remain future aspirations.

A Strong Start to 2024: Reflecting on Growth and New Beginnings

I'm incredibly grateful for the way the year has started off! Taking a few weeks off over Christmas was amazing, but I remember coming to the end of December and thinking the timing wasn't ideal. I'd started generating momentum with my coaching business and things were starting to happen! At the end of 2023, I had a handful of coaching clients and was establishing my offering.

Business Growth and Personal Development

Thankfully, I was able to hit the ground running early January. I remember the first week back being intense! Straight into the deep end, so to speak. Since then, I've managed to continue signing new clients and am still loving the role as a coach. I feel like I've found my Ikigai, which is amazing - it only took 40 years.

Content Creation and Community Building

I'm still podcasting and have established a streamlined and efficient workflow. There's also a video component on the guest episodes, which is brilliant. I'm looking forward to growing my YouTube channel over time. I'm also very grateful for the sponsors and brand partners that have decided to be part of the journey, the challenge and the community I'm building - like-minded people who aren't settling for the status quo and are working to create intentionality in their lives.

Milestone Achievements and Community Events

The 100th episode sauna podcast reinforced that I love spending time with like-minded people who think differently and value similar things. Spending 100 minutes in a sauna (almost 120 minutes) at 100 degrees with nine other legends was an absolute pleasure. It takes a certain type of person to agree to that, especially at 9pm on a Friday evening.

Business Ventures and Workspace Evolution

The Men's Mastery events are an extension of this community, and IHF/Elements are playing a huge part in this, both from a physical venue perspective and through the partnership with Dan, the Membership in general, and now the new Premium Area at the Health Club. The challenge itself is progressing well - perhaps not from a strictly financial perspective, but from a mindset perspective, I'm very clear on what the next 12-18 months look like. I've modelled out the numbers, and my aim is to add a significant amount of net wealth in that time period.

Creating the Perfect Environment for Success

The Loft is proving to be an amazing space, and I can't believe I didn't commit to a co-working environment sooner. I seriously don't know how people stay sane working from home or cafes. Everyone is different, of course, but I really encourage you to explore the Loft (or other co-working spaces) if you're self-employed, have a small team, or are working as a satellite employee.

Personal Growth and Future Planning

Speaking of changes, after three years in the apartment, I'm moving to a larger place. It's both daunting and thrilling - like any life change, there's a mixture of emotions, but I'm embracing the growth and evolution. Fitness and nutrition have been going well, with crystal-clear goals helping me stay consistent. As Dan Hood reminded us in the sauna podcast, it's crucial not to simply go through the motions at the gym but to be clear about what you're trying to achieve.

Looking Ahead: Goals and Aspirations

This principle applies to all areas of life - are you going through the motions, or are you intentional and clear about your goals? Having monthly, quarterly, annual, and multi-year goals has helped me tremendously. For instance, learning Spanish is on my list for around 2027, and recommencing my Private Pilot Licence (PPL) will happen once the business reaches a certain size.

Stay Connected

This update may be a bit of a ramble, but I create these posts both as a record to look back on and because the process of writing and reflecting is invaluable. I encourage you to do the same through journalling or reflection. If you're not already subscribed to my fortnightly email newsletter, it's a brilliant way to stay in touch.
