How This PT Is Planning to Set a World Record (Jared Rogers)
Jared Rogers is attempting to break a Guinness World Record. But he doesn't just want to break it, he wants to smash it! The record? The largest High Intensity Interval Training class. As a personal trainer who's motivated to dream big, Jared might just be the perfect person to pull this off.
Jared Rogers is attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the largest High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) class. Currently held by Joe Wicks at around 3,900 people, Jared aims to gather 7,000 participants at Foster Park, Rolleston on March 15th next year.
The event goes beyond just breaking a record - it's designed to promote community connection, physical activity and mental health awareness while raising funds for I Am Hope. The 30-minute workout will be accessible for all fitness levels, with proper rest intervals built in.
Alongside the main event, there will be an expo area for 50-60 local businesses to showcase their products and services, plus 40-50 food vendors. The entire event is estimated to cost around £170,000, with the Guinness World Record application alone being £35,000.
As a personal trainer transitioning from corporate life, Jared sees this as an opportunity to inspire others to pursue their ambitions without artificial limitations. He's deliberately keeping major corporate influence minimal to maintain the community focus.
The event website (hitforhope.com) is now live for participant registration, vendor applications and sponsorship enquiries. While acknowledging the scale of the challenge, Jared remains committed to delivering an unforgettable experience that brings people together and shows what's possible when thinking beyond conventional boundaries.
