Micro Blog & Accountability

I crossed off the third week into the challenge last Thursday. It did not feel good! To say I’m off to a slow start to the challenge would be a kind way of saying that I’ve been flaffing!!

Since the last post August 21, I’m officially into the challenge. This isn’t going to be a long post as I just want to post something and get it out vs other thinking it, stalling and procrastinating.

I’m a BIG fan of momentum and energy and for me that means applying the habits which are referred to and written about in James Clear’s book - Atomic Habits. Essentially doing the smallest of actions to get going which in turn makes it easier to keep going and to chip away at larger tasks and projects. (Such as trying to make $10 million in 10 years).

Since launching this site it’s been awesome having conversations with people about the challenge, some that I’ve mentioned it to and others that have approached me about it, completely out of the blue which is mind blowing! I forget the power of producing content, pushing publish and that it’s public domain.

For the accountability part of this article it’s to elaborate on a strategy I’ve utilised to get something done.

It’s a major component of this challenge, it’s not overly difficult it’s just something that’s potentially semi uncomfortable and that I’ve been putting off for a while. Well, Monday, it’s happening. I’ve used the accountability partner plan where you say to someone that if I don’t do X by this time on this day I have to pay you $100 (or whatever amount you chose obviously). I’ve done it before and it works a charm.

Given the nature of this task I plan on posting about it, perhaps not on Monday but likely in the next few weeks.

Between now and then I do plan on being more active on here. The next article that needs to happen is a summary / snapshot of how I’m measuring the $10 million, the reporting I’ll be doing and diving a bit more into the numbers.

Thanks for reading.
